The Pakistan Navy, under the Ministry of Defence, has announced commissioned officer opportunities for the year 2026 through induction as a PN Cadet in the Operations, Supply and Engineering branches for a permanent commission (Term 2027-A). Applications are invited from eligible male citizens of Pakistan.
Registration for the PN Cadet course (Term 2027-A) is open from 13 September to 11 October 2026, with candidates applying online through the official portal, joinpaknavy.gov.pk. The age, height and general eligibility requirements are common to all branches, while the required academic subjects differ between the Operations/Supply group and the Engineering group. This recruitment inducts PN Cadets for a permanent commission (Term 2027-A) in the following branch groups. Both tracks share the same age, height and general eligibility; only the required academic subjects differ.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a male citizen of Pakistan.
- Age (calculated as on 15 May 2027): civilian candidates (unmarried) 16½ to 21 years; service candidates (serving Armed Forces personnel in uniform only, married or unmarried) 17 to 23 years.
- Minimum height: 5 feet 4 inches.
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have passed both Matric and F.Sc, or O/A Level, with at least 60% marks. The required subject combination depends on the branch group applied for.
Operations & Supply Branches
Any one of the following subject combinations:
- Physics, Maths & Chemistry
- Physics, Maths & Computer Science
- Physics, Maths & Statistics
Engineering Branches
Pre-Engineering, with the subjects:
- Physics, Maths & Chemistry
Conditions Applicable to All Branches
- Pre-Medical students may apply provided they qualify additional mathematics in their F.Sc or A-Level studies before 15 March 2027.
- O/A-Level candidates must submit an IBCC equivalence certificate.
- F.Sc appearing candidates with at least 65% marks in Part-1 may apply, subject to providing a Hope Certificate from the head of their college/institute and completing the F.Sc/HSSC (or equivalent) examination before 15 May 2027.
- A candidate who fails to attain 60% marks after providing a Hope Certificate will be disqualified at any stage of the selection process, or discharged during training.
