Registration for the 159 PMA Long Course is open from 14 September to 23 October 2026, with candidates applying online through the official portal, joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Selected candidates train at the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, and are commissioned as officers on passing out. Available Position
This induction is for a permanent commission in the Pakistan Army as a Second Lieutenant through the 159 PMA Long Course. Selected candidates train at PMA Kakul and, on successful completion, begin their careers as regular commissioned officers with opportunities for progression to the senior ranks of the Army.
Eligibility Criteria
The programme is open to unmarried male citizens of Pakistan (including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan). Age and academic requirements vary by qualification category, as set out below.

Physical Standards
- Minimum height: 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm).
- Body weight must be in line with the prescribed BMI standards.
General Instructions
- Candidates from specified underdeveloped areas — including Balochistan, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, District Neelum, Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, and specified rural areas of Sindh and Punjab — qualify under a relaxed academic requirement of 55% marks.
- Candidates awaiting their second-year Intermediate result may apply on a Hope Certificate showing at least 65% (or the required passing marks) in Part-1, issued by the head of their institution.
- Candidates holding foreign qualifications (O-Level / A-Level) must submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC).
- Candidates who have been rejected twice by the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB), or who have been dismissed or withdrawn from any government service or educational institution on disciplinary grounds, are not eligible.

- Online registration and selection of the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre (AS&RC).
- Initial (preliminary) computerized test covering academic subjects and intelligence.
- Physical test.
- Preliminary interview at the AS&RC.
- Medical examination.
- Four-day assessment at the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB).
- Final merit list and selection for training at PMA Kakul.

- Complete the online application form, entering your personal and educational details exactly as they appear on your CNIC and certificates.
- Choose your preferred Army Selection & Recruitment Centre (AS&RC) and schedule your initial computerized test date.
- Submit the form and print the Registration Slip, which contains the details required on your test day.
- Complete registration before the last date, 23 October 2026.
Application Deadline
