KPT Apprenticeship 2026 — Karachi Port Trust B-Class Trade Apprenticeship Training

The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has invited applications for its B-Class Trade Apprenticeship Training (53rd Batch) at the KPT Marine & General Workshop, Manora, under the Apprenticeship Ordinance 1962. This is an excellent opportunity for young Matric (Science/Technical) students to learn a skilled trade with one of Pakistan’s leading port organizations.

A total of 70 seats are available across 16 different trades (seats are limited in every trade), under the prescribed quota of KPT Employees’ Sons and Open Merit. On completion, apprentices are retained for 2 years for post-apprenticeship service as tradesmen. Complete details are given below.

Eligibility Criteria & Key Details

  • Program: B-Class (53rd Batch) Trade Apprenticeship Training at KPT Marine & General Workshop, Manora, under the Apprenticeship Ordinance 1962.
  • Total seats: 70, under the prescribed quota of KPT Employees’ Sons and Open Merit, across 16 trades (limited seats in each).
  • Qualification: Matric (Science / Technical) with at least 45% marks.
  • Age: Between 14 and 25 years; candidates under 20 years are preferred.
  • Retention: Apprentices will be retained for 2 years for post-apprenticeship service as tradesmen.
  • The application forms are available in limited quantity and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prospectus & Form: Obtain the prospectus and application form from the Reception of KPT Head Office, Eduljee Dinshaw Road, against payment of Rs. 200 (from 18 August to 1 September 2026). It can also be obtained by post by sending a postal order of Rs. 250 in favour of the Chief Accounts Officer to Manager (HR), KPT Head Office, Karachi.

  1. Obtain the prospectus and application form from KPT Head Office reception (Rs. 200), or by post with a Rs. 250 postal order in favour of the Chief Accounts Officer.
  2. Fill in the application form and attach attested copies of your certificates and photographs.
  3. Send the completed application to Manager (Human Resources), KPT Head Office Building, Eduljee Dinshaw Road, Karachi 74000.
  4. Ensure your application reaches by 15 September 2026. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Last Date: Completed applications must reach the Manager (HR) by 15 September 2026.
Only shortlisted applicants will be called for the written test. Forms are limited and issued first-come, first-served.
