About the Election Commission of Pakistan
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is the constitutional body responsible for organising and conducting free, fair and transparent elections to the National Assembly, Provincial Assemblies, the Senate and local governments across Pakistan. It maintains electoral rolls, delimits constituencies and oversees the entire electoral process, recruiting administrative and support staff nationwide to support its operations.
General Instructions
- All interested candidates must apply through the ECP Online Recruitment System (ORS) by visiting www.ecp.gov.pk or jobs.ecp.gov.pk within 20 days of the advertisement’s printing in the newspapers.
- Relaxation of the upper age limit, including 5 years’ general relaxation over and above the prescribed limit, is admissible under the Initial Appointment to Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules 1993.
- Candidates already in government service must apply through the proper channel.
- A government-recognised basic IT training course/certification is mandatory for these posts.
- No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
- Only shortlisted candidates are called for test/interview.
- The Authority reserves the right to increase, decrease or cancel the number of vacancies or the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
- Applications received after the cut-off date will not be entertained.

Eligibility Criteria for Election Commission of Pakistan Jobs (September) 2026
1. Senior Assistant (BS-15)
- Qualification: Graduate, computer literate, with a 6-week government-recognised basic IT training course (including MS Office).
- Age: 18 – 28 years.
2. Sub Assistant (BS-11)
- Qualification: Matric, minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute, with a 3-week government-recognised basic IT training course (including MS Office).
- Age: 18 – 25 years.
