The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore, is a provincial examination body under the Government of Punjab. It conducts the Secondary School Certificate (Matric) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (Intermediate) examinations and regulates the schools and colleges affiliated with it. Eligibility Criteria for BISE (Lahore) Jobs 2026
1. Junior Computer Programmer — BS-16 (Case No. 11-RA/2026)
- Qualification: MSc or BSc (4 years) Computer Science or an equivalent degree in 2nd Division, with one year’s practical experience of web programming/designing.
- Preference: Candidates with knowledge and experience of programming and relational database management systems such as Oracle and MS SQL.
- Note: Only practical experience acquired after the prescribed qualification will be counted.
- Age Limit: Male 21–40 years, Female 21–43 years (including relaxation).
2. Assistant — BS-16 (Case No. 12-RA/2026)
- Qualification: B.Sc or B.A from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent, with a typing speed of 40 w.p.m and key depression of 8,000 per hour, and knowledge and skill of MS Office, word processing, spreadsheet development and composing.
- Age Limit: Male 18–30 years, Female 18–33 years (including relaxation).
- Quota: Open Merit = 18, Special Person Quota = 01, Minority Quota = 01, Women Quota = 04.
3. Senior Computer Operator — BS-16 (Case No. 13-RA/2026)
- Qualification (Option A): MSc or BS (4 years) Computer Science or an equivalent degree in 1st Division.
- Qualification (Option B): MSc or BS (4 years) Computer Science or an equivalent degree in 2nd Division, with two years’ relevant experience.
- Note: Only practical experience acquired after the prescribed qualification will be counted.
- Age Limit: Male 21–40 years, Female 21–43 years (including relaxation).
4. Security Officer (Ex-Cadre Post) — BS-17 (Case No. 14-RA/2026)
- Qualification (Option A): MA/MSc in 2nd Division with five years’ experience in Security Management.
- Qualification (Option B): Bachelor’s degree in 2nd Division with seven years’ experience in Security Management.
- Qualification (Option C): Graduation from any Academy of the Armed Forces with seven years’ relevant experience.
- Note: Only practical and administrative experience acquired after the prescribed qualification will be counted.
- Age Limit: Male 25–45 years (including relaxation).
- Gender: Male only.
5. Deputy Secretary / Deputy Controller of Examinations — BS-18 (Case No. 15-RA/2026)
- Qualification (Option A): Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university with 60% marks and five years’ experience of academic/administration, preferably in a Management Information System.
- Qualification (Option B): Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university with 45% marks and seven years’ experience of academic/administration, preferably in a Management Information System. In the case of a higher qualification, the 60% marks condition will be waived.
- Note: Only practical and administrative experience acquired after the prescribed qualification will be counted.
- Age Limit: Male 22–45 years, Female 22–48 years (including relaxation).
6. Estate Officer (Ex-Cadre Post) — BS-17 (Case No. 19-RA/2026)
- Qualification (Option A): MA/MSc in 2nd Division with two years’ relevant experience.
- Qualification (Option B): Bachelor’s degree in 2nd Division with five years’ experience of office work / Estate Management.
- Note: Only practical and administrative experience acquired after the prescribed qualification will be considered.
- Age Limit: Male 21–40 years (including relaxation).
- Gender: Male only.
7. Civil Engineer — BS-17 (Case No. 21-RA/2026)
- Qualification: B.Sc (Civil Engineering) in 2nd Division with two years’ relevant experience.
- Note: Only practical experience acquired after the prescribed qualification will be counted. Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration must be valid up to the closing date; if expired, proof of applying for renewal on or before the closing date is required.
- Age Limit: Male 21–40 years, Female 21–43 years (including relaxation).
Written Test / Selection Process
If held, the written examination consists of one paper of 100 marks and 90 minutes’ duration. For the Junior Computer Programmer, Senior Computer Operator and Civil Engineer posts, it is an MCQ paper based entirely on qualification-related questions (100%). For the Assistant, Security Officer, Deputy Secretary/Deputy Controller and Estate Officer posts, it is a General Ability test (100%) covering General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science and Basic Computer Studies. For the Assistant post, candidates who qualify the written test will be called for a typing test (40 w.p.m) and proficiency test at a 1:20 ratio, and only those who pass the typing test may appear in the proficiency test.
General Instructions
- Candidates should read the “Important Instructions” regarding application fee, written test and interview on the PPSC website before applying online.
- Test schedules and syllabus, if any, are issued only on the official PPSC website, which candidates should visit frequently.
- Employees of the Federal Government, semi-government, autonomous bodies and local bodies are not entitled to age concession for their period of service in such organizations.
- Candidates claiming an equivalent qualification must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the HEC or the relevant Q.E.D.C. at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may be cancelled.
- Candidates claiming private-sector experience must provide proof at the interview that the firm/entity is registered with SECP, the Registrar of Firms, or another regulatory authority.
- In-service candidates must obtain or apply for NOC/DPC from their department and provide it at the time of interview (if called).
- Candidates must obtain or apply for the required registration certificate from PEC or the relevant regulatory body on or before the closing date.
- The Shorthand Test and Typing & Proficiency Test, if required, will only be held at Lahore.
- In case of any variation (increase/decrease) in the number of posts, no fresh applications will be invited.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 600, which must be paid digitally against a 17-digit PSID (Payment Slip ID) generated on the official PPSC portal. Payment can be made through the approved mediums — ATMs, mobile phone banking, internet banking, over the counter at 1-Link member bank branches, JazzCash, Easypaisa, U Paisa and other available micro-finance banks — on or before the closing date.

- Complete the online application form for your chosen post, quoting the relevant case number.
- Generate the 17-digit PSID on the portal and pay the Rs. 600 fee digitally through one of the approved payment mediums.
- Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application and fee for each.
- Submit the online application on or before 3 September 2026.
