Eligibility Criteria for Archaeology & Museums (Peshawar) Jobs 2026
1. Research Officer (BPS-17)
- Qualification: BS (Hons), at least Second Division, in Archaeology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Experience: Experience in field research, excavation, conservation or museum documentation will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 40 years.
2. Architect (BPS-17)
- Qualification: BS (Hons) in Architecture from a recognized university.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
3. GIS Specialist (BPS-16)
- Qualification: BS (Hons) in GIS, Space Sciences, Geomatics or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Experience: Experience in the related field will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 32 years.
4. 3D Visualizer Expert (BPS-16)
- Qualification: BS (Hons) in Animation, Multimedia Arts, Game Design, 3D Modeling or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in 3D digital reconstruction, preferably involving cultural heritage, architecture or archaeology projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Autodesk 3ds Max, SketchUp, Blender, AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with photogrammetry, 3D scanning, LiDAR processing and GIS integration; knowledge of rendering engines.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
5. Analyst (Photogrammetry) (BPS-16)
- Qualification: BS (Hons) in Geoinformatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in photogrammetry, drone mapping or spatial data processing, preferably in heritage, architecture or environmental documentation projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in photogrammetry software including Agisoft Metashape, RealityCapture, Pix4Dmapper and 3DF Zephyr; laser scanning and LiDAR operations; point-cloud registration and alignment; 3D modeling and mesh processing; georeferencing and visualization tools.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
6. Filed Officer (Archeologist) (BPS-16)
- Qualification: BS (Hons) in Archaeology or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
7. IT Specialist/Graphic Designer (BPS-16)
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a recognized university, or a Bachelor’s degree with a one-year Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education.
- Additional Requirement: Six-month professional certificate in Graphic Designing.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant fields.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
8. Field Surveyor (BPS-12)
- Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field in a government or semi-government organization.
- Technical Skills: Ability to work with Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, DGPS and drones (UAVs), prepare maps, contour plans and site layouts, and assist archaeologists and engineers with site documentation, excavation planning and restoration mapping.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
9. Project Photographer/Videographer (BPS-12)
- Qualification: Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, drones and gimbal systems, along with photo and video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
10. Planning Officer (BPS-17)
- Qualification: BS (Hons) degree in Economics or Project Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in development planning, project formulation or monitoring in a related field.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
11. Digital Archivist/Librarian (BPS-16)
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master’s, in Library & Information Science, Archival Studies, Information Management or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in digital archiving, library management or data archiving.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity with digital repositories, metadata standards and archival software is required; experience with heritage or research-based digital collections will be an advantage.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
12. IT Specialist (BPS-16)
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a recognized university, or Bachelor’s degree with a one-year Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
13. Draftsman (BPS-12)
- Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Government Polytechnic Institute.
- Experience: Experience in drawing historical monuments will be preferred.
- Experience Requirement: 2 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Age: Up to 30 years.
14. Data Entry Operator (BPS-12)
- Qualification: Intermediate or equivalent with a 6-month certificate in Information Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education.
- Skills: Proficiency in data entry, MS Office and basic database handling.
- Experience: Experience with digital records or archival data will be an advantage.
- Age: Up to 30 years.
15. Cataloguer (BPS-12)
- Qualification: Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
- Age: Up to 35 years.
16. Junior Archeologist (BPS-12)
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Skills/Knowledge: Basic knowledge of excavation methods, field recording and heritage protection.
- Additional Requirement: Willingness to work in remote areas and challenging field conditions.
- Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.
- Age: Up to 25 to 35 years as specified in the advertisement.
17. Project Photographer (BPS-12)
- Qualification: Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, drones and gimbal systems, along with photo and video editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro.
- Age: Up to 30 years.
General Instructions
- Candidates are initially allowed to appear in the ETEA screening test on the basis of the credentials provided; detailed scrutiny will be conducted by the Appointing Authority.
- Applicants must create a profile on the ETEA website before applying or depositing the fee.
- After creating the profile, candidates must print the E-Sahulat token from ETEA and have their CNIC number verified at a NADRA E-Sahulat franchise/kiosk before applying.
- Candidates who qualify the ETEA test will subsequently be screened against the relevant eligibility criteria.
- Only shortlisted candidates will receive interview call letters.
- Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements by the last date for receipt of applications.
- Late, incomplete or applications containing fake documents or information will be rejected.
- Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application and pay a separate fee for each post.
- The competent authority may increase or decrease the number of vacancies for a cogent reason.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for the test or interview.
- For foreign degrees, equivalent certificates from HEC must be provided.
- Errors or omissions regarding the number of posts are subject to rectification.
How to Apply
- Visit the ETEA website at www.etea.edu.pk and create your candidate profile.
- Before applying or depositing the fee, print the E-Sahulat token and get the CNIC number verified from a NADRA E-Sahulat franchise/kiosk.
- Apply online for the desired post through the ETEA portal. A prescribed online deposit slip containing the token number, project code and candidate information will be generated after successful submission.
- Print the generated deposit slip and pay the prescribed non-refundable test fee through the Easypaisa app or agent, any UBL Bank branch, or a UBL OMNI agent.
- Keep the original stamped deposit slip with you after payment and do not share it with another person.
- Do not send documents or testimonials to the ETEA office immediately after online application. Candidates who qualify the screening test will provide the required documents when requested by the Appointing Authority.
- The online application form will be available on 15 August 2026.
- After applying, candidates should use the ETEA portal to download and print their Roll No. Slip when instructed through SMS.
- Do not provide a ported or converted mobile number because ETEA will use SMS to communicate information about the Roll No. Slip.
- The test date, time and venue will be mentioned on the Roll No. Slip. No separate screening-test call letter will be sent by post or courier.
