The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is the federal civic agency responsible for the planning, development and municipal administration of Islamabad. The Authority is recruiting technical, fire-service, medical, transport and support staff on a contract basis to strengthen its operations.

Eligibility Criteria for Capital Development Authority Jobs (September) 2026
1. Transport Officer — BPS-16
- B-Tech with 5 years’ relevant experience. Age up to 33 years. Quota: Merit.
2. Bronto Sky-lift Coordinator — BPS-14
- DAE (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics) with 3 years’ relevant experience. Quota: Merit.
3. Drill Instructor — BPS-14
- Graduation in physical education with relevant certifications and 3 years’ relevant experience; preference to retired army personnel with certification from PMA/Pak Army Training Centers as a drill instructor. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 1.
4. PT Instructor — BPS-14
- Graduation in physical education with relevant certifications and 3 years’ relevant experience; preference to retired army personnel with certification from PMA/Pak Army Training Centers as a physical training instructor. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 1.
5. Leading Fireman — BPS-12
- BSc or BA with DAE, working in a government Fire Service, with 5 years’ relevant experience. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 11, Punjab 5, Sindh(R) 1, Sindh(U) 1, Balochistan 1, KPK/FATA 2.
6. Fireman — BPS-11
- DAE (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Electronics); relevant experience/certification preferred. Quota: Merit 15, ICT 74, Sindh(R) 6, Sindh(U) 4, Balochistan 10.
7. Medical Technician — BPS-11
- F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or FA (2nd Division) with a 1-year dispenser/paramedical diploma (2nd Division) from a recognized Board, Council or University; relevant experience/certification preferred. Quota: Merit 4, ICT 37, Punjab 7, Sindh(U) 3, Balochistan 2, KPK 1, AJK 1.
8. Draftsman — BPS-11
- Matric with DAE (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Architect) with AutoCAD certification; relevant experience/certification preferred. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 1.
9. Foreman — BPS-14
- DAE (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automobile); relevant experience/certification preferred. Quota: Merit.
10. Dafadar — BPS-09
- Matric; preference to retired army personnel, and to those retired from the RV&FC Army dog training school with relevant experience as a search dog handler/trainer. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 2, Punjab 1.
11. Caretaker — BPS-08
- Matric with a 1-year diploma in Civil/Electrician/Plumbing/Carpenter, and 3 years’ relevant experience. Quota: Merit.
12. Mess Cook — BPS-07
- Middle with cooking/chef certification and 5 years’ relevant experience. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 1.
13. Cook — BPS-06
- Middle with cooking/chef certification and 3 years’ relevant experience. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 1.
14. Dispatch Rider — BPS-05
- Matric from a recognized institute with a motorbike licence. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 1.
15. Driver LTV — BPS-04
- Middle with an LTV licence and 3 years’ experience in the relevant field. Quota: Merit 2, ICT 10, Punjab 3, Sindh(R) 3, Balochistan 1, AJK 1.
16. Khakroob (Sweeper) — BPS-01
- Literate. Quota: Merit 1, ICT 1.
Physical Requirements (all posts)
Final selection is subject to the fulfilment of the prescribed physical requirements applicable to all categories of posts:
- Height: At least 5’6″ (167.6 cm) for males and 5’4″ (162.6 cm) for females.
- Vision: 6/6 eyesight (glasses permitted).
- BMI: Must be below 30.
- Chest: Minimum 33 inches (for male candidates only).
General Instructions
- Age relaxation and all applicable quotas will be observed as per Government policy.
- CDA has the right to cancel the advertisement or to increase/decrease the number of posts.
- Employees will be appointed on a contract basis for an initial period of two years, extendable if required, with no vested right for regular appointment.
- Only shortlisted candidates who qualify as per the above criteria will be called for the written test/skill test/physical test/interview.
- No TA/DA will be admissible.
- Candidates must bring original documents (educational and experience certificates) and attested copies at the time of interview.
- Candidates already serving in government-sector organizations must submit an NOC with the application.
- Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Application Fee
Candidates must pay a processing fee of Rs. 2,000 for each post they apply for. The fee must be submitted online using the PSID/QR code (generated on successful submission of the application) via any banking app. For queries, email [email protected].
