Eligibility Criteria for Islamabad High Court (IHC) Jobs 2026
To apply for these jobs, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university entitling the candidate to practice law.
- Minimum 2 years of active practice as an Advocate before the advertisement date.
- The candidate must not have engaged in any other full-time service, business, or occupation during the required practice period.
- Age must be between 22 and 35 years as on the closing date for online applications.
Quota
- 50% merit quota for eligible candidates having domicile of Islamabad Capital Territory.
- 10% quota reserved for women.
- 2% quota reserved for Persons with Disabilities, subject to suitability.
Selection Process
- Written examination as prescribed under the Islamabad Judicial Service Rules, 2011.
- Objective paper carrying 25% marks.
- Subjective paper carrying 75% marks.
- Candidates must obtain at least 40% marks in each paper and 75 marks in aggregate to qualify.
- Successful candidates will appear in a Viva Voce carrying 100 marks.
- Minimum 30% marks in Viva Voce are required for final qualification.

- Examination fee: Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only).
