Eligibility Criteria for Virtual University Jobs September 2026
1. Director Planning & Development — E-I
- 16 years of education in Engineering (HEC-recognized), with an additional MBA or PMP; at least 15 years’ proven post-qualification experience, preferably in planning and development / project management in a University or Government/Semi-Government organization. Excellent English and IT proficiency required.
2. Director Administration — E-II
- 1st Class Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration or Human Resource Management (HEC-recognized); at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in multinational/national/government/semi-government organizations or universities.
3. Director Campuses — E-II
- 1st Class Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration or HRM (16 years of education); at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in a senior management position, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a region in a senior position.
4. General Manager Professional Development Centre — E-II
- PhD in CS/IT/Engineering/Management Sciences (HEC) with at least 10 years’ experience (at least 6 years post-PhD) in teaching/training plus at least 3 years’ management/industry experience at senior level; OR MS/MPhil/MBA (18 years) in CS/IT/EE/Management Sciences with at least 14 years’ teaching/training experience plus at least 6 years’ senior-level management experience (equivalent to BPS-19 or higher).
5. Deputy Director ORIC — E-II
- Minimum 18 years of education (MS/MPhil/MBA) in Engineering/Science/Business/Technology (1st division or 3.0 CGPA) from an HEC-recognized institution (PhD preferred); 5 years’ relevant university-management or corporate-administrative experience, specifically handling institutional research operations.
6. Deputy Director Planning & Development — E-III
- 16 years of education in Engineering/Management/Sciences (HEC); at least 7 years’ proven post-qualification experience, preferably in project management and execution, with a substantial record of writing PC-1s.
7. Deputy Registrar (Legal) — E-III
- Minimum LLB (Bachelor’s in Law)/LLM/Bar-at-Law/Master’s (16 years) or foreign qualification in public policy/governance/legislative drafting; must be a member of any provincial or Federal Bar Council; at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience (for Master’s/LLB) as a practicing lawyer, or LLM with at least 5 years’ experience as a practicing lawyer.
8. Deputy Director Finance (Planning & Commercial) — E-III
- ACA/ACMA or MBA/MPA/4-year Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Finance (1st division) from an HEC-recognized institution; at least 8 years’ experience (minimum 3 years post-qualification) for ACA/ACMA, or 10 years’ experience for MBA/MPA/Bachelor’s (with at least 4 years post-qualification).
9. Assistant Director ORIC — E-IV
- 16 to 18 years of education (BS Hons/Master’s/MS) from an HEC-recognized university (1st division or 3.0 CGPA); 3 years’ post-qualification operational experience within a university administration or corporate linkage office.
10. Deputy Director Administration — E-IV
- At least 2nd Division Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration or HRM (HEC); at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience in multinational/national government, semi-government organizations or universities.
11. Assistant Director Admin — E-V
- At least 2nd Division Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration or HRM (HEC); at least 6 years’ post-qualification experience in multinational/national government, semi-government organizations or universities.
12. Public Relation Officer — J-II
- Master’s degree (at least 2nd division) in Mass Communication or equivalent (HEC); at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar position, with media-coordination experience. IT proficiency required.
13. Electrician — J-VI (Lahore 2, Islamabad 1)
- At least 2nd division DAE (Electrical) from a recognized institution; at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience as an electrician in a well-reputed organization, with the ability to install and maintain electrical fittings/DBs and wiring, and experience in operating and handling power generators.
General Instructions
- The age of superannuation is 60 years; the maximum age to apply for any position is 55 years.
- In-service candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer with the application or before interview.
- Part-time, honorary, visiting, apprenticeship, freelancing and internee experience will not be counted; only experience letters issued by the respective HR/Registrar or relevant authority will be accepted.
- Candidates must apply online only; no hard copy of the application will be accepted.
- Candidates holding a foreign degree must submit an HEC equivalence certificate, and degrees must be HEC-attested.
- An application processing fee of Rs. 3,000 per application (for Pay Scale “E” posts) or Rs. 1,000 per application (for Pay Scale “J” posts) is payable via the challan generated by the job portal; the fee is non-refundable.
- Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application (and fee) for each post.
- Applications containing incomplete/fake information, or submitted without the processing fee, will not be entertained.
- Candidates must sign an affidavit that they are not a dual national and, if selected, will not hold dual employment.
- All interviews will be conducted in person; no online interviews, and no TA/DA is admissible.
- The Virtual University reserves the right to reject any or all applications at any stage without assigning any reason.
