Special Education Department Punjab has announced School Teaching Intern (STI) opportunities for eligible candidates in Special Education institutions across Multan Division, covering Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran and Vehari districts. A total of 8 vacancies are available across 4 designations in BPS-16 and BPS-17.
The vacancies include Junior Special Education Teacher (HI/PD), Senior Special Education Teacher (PD) and Speech Therapist positions. Terms and Conditions
- The STI engagement is temporary, school-specific and non-transferable.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have relevant teaching experience.
- The engagement will continue for up to 09 months, including summer vacations, during Financial Year 2026-27 or until the arrival of a regular incumbent, whichever occurs earlier.
- The monthly honorarium is Rs. 40,000 for BPS-16 and Rs. 45,000 for BPS-17.
- The engagement will not create any right to regular appointment.
- Performance and attendance will be monitored by the concerned authorities.
- The engagement may be terminated with one month’s notice or payment in lieu of notice.

Eligibility Criteria for STI (Multan Division) Jobs 2026
1. Junior Special Education Teacher (HI) – BPS-16
- Qualification: M.A. or BS with second division or Grade-C in Special Education, with specialization in the field of deaf, or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
- Age: 21-28 years.
- Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for males, up to 8 years for females, and up to 15 years for disabled persons, subject to a valid disability certificate.
2. Junior Special Education Teacher (PD) – BPS-16
- Qualification: M.A. or BS with second division or Grade-C in Special Education, with specialization in the field of physically disabled, or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
- Age: 21-28 years.
- Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for males, up to 8 years for females, and up to 15 years for disabled persons, subject to a valid disability certificate.
3. Senior Special Education Teacher (PD) – BPS-17
- Qualification: M.A. or BS with first division or Grade-B in Special Education, with specialization in the field of physically disabled, or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
- Age: 21-28 years.
- Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for males, up to 8 years for females, and up to 15 years for disabled persons, subject to a valid disability certificate.
4. Speech Therapist – BPS-17
- Qualification: M.A. or BS in Special Education or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission, along with a one-year postgraduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy; OR BS/B.Sc. (Hons) second division in Speech and Language Therapy or Speech and Language Pathology, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
- Age: 21-28 years.
- Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for males, up to 8 years for females, and up to 15 years for disabled persons, subject to a valid disability certificate.
