The Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICT Police), under the Ministry of Interior & Narcotics Control, has announced fresh August 2026 job opportunities, inviting applications from Pakistani nationals (male and female) for executive-staff posts to help maintain law and order in the federal capital. A total of 1,624 vacancies are available across 3 posts — Sub-Inspector (SI), Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), and Constable — in BS-07 to BS-14, based in Islamabad. Quota: Vacancies for each post are distributed on a regional/provincial basis — Open Merit, ICT, Punjab, Sindh (Rural), Sindh (Urban), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, NA/FATA, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan — with reserved shares for women and minorities. Physical Standards

  • Minimum Height: Male 5′-7″, Female 5′-2″.
  • Chest: 33″–34.5″ (for men only).
  • Endurance Test: A 1-mile run in 7 minutes for male candidates and 10 minutes for female candidates.
  • No relaxation in height, chest or age will be granted to any candidate.

Eligibility Criteria for ICT Police Jobs (August) 2026

1. Sub-Inspector (SI) — BS-14

  • Qualification: BA / B.Sc or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 25 years.
  • Physical Standards: Must meet the prescribed height, chest and endurance-test standards.

2. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) — BS-11

  • Qualification: BA / B.Sc or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 25 years.
  • Physical Standards: Must meet the prescribed height, chest and endurance-test standards.

3. Constable — BS-07

  • Qualification: Matric or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 25 years.

ICT Police Jobs August 2026 For Constable, ASI & SI Latest Advertisement

Required Documents

Candidates must produce the following original documents at the time of interview:

  • CNIC issued by NADRA.
  • Academic certificates.
  • Domicile certificate.
  • Two passport-size photographs with a blue background.
  • For minority (non-Muslim) applicants, an affidavit duly countersigned by the respective Deputy Commissioner.

General Instructions

  • Applications must be submitted online only, through npftas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk, within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication.
  • The cut-off date for age calculation is the closing date, i.e. 2 September 2026.
  • A separate application and fee are required for each post applied for.
  • Candidates applying for multiple posts will have to pass the physical test only once.
  • Applications submitted by hand, through courier or by any channel other than the online portal will not be entertained.
  • Candidates must provide correct information; false information is liable to action under Sections 420/468/471 PPC and can lead to debarment.
  • Any involvement in a criminal case must be disclosed in the online application.
  • Transgender persons will be treated as per their self-perceived gender identity under the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018.
  • Government employees must apply through the proper channel.
  • Only candidates who qualify the physical/endurance and computer-based/written tests will be called for interview; failing any stage disqualifies the candidate for the next stage.
  • Selected candidates must undergo a full medical examination; Hepatitis B & C and other permanent ailments will lead to disqualification.
  • No TA/DA is admissible for the written, physical/endurance, skill test or interview.
  • Candidates must provide an active mobile number that is not converted to another network, and check the portal regularly for updates.
  • ICT Police reserves the right to modify or cancel the number of posts, the advertisement, recruitment or instructions at any stage.

Application Fee

A fee of Rs. 200 per application/post (non-refundable) is payable for processing the application and the requisite tests. The fee is paid through the 1Link 1-Bill service via any bank, ATM, internet banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, U Paisa or TimePay, using the 24-digit PSID generated on the fee challan from the online portal.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official portal at npftas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk and read the instructions.
  2. Complete the online application form for your chosen post, providing accurate information and an active mobile number.
  3. Generate the 24-digit PSID on the fee challan and pay the Rs. 2000 fee (a separate fee for each post) through 1Link 1-Bill, bank, ATM, internet banking or a mobile wallet.
  4. Keep your documents ready for verification at the physical, written and interview stages.
  5. Submit the online application on or before 2 September 2026.

Application Deadline

The closing date for submission of online applications is 2 September 2026, which is also the cut-off date for age calculation. Applications received after this date will not be entertained, so candidates are advised to apply well in advance.
