Eligibility Criteria for Punjab Provincial Transport Authority Jobs (August) 2026
1. Secretary District Regional Transport Authority (BS-17)
- Qualification: BSc in Transport Engineering or Transport Planning (Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university.
- Age: Male 22–35 years; Female 22–38 years (including relaxation).
- Gender: Male, Female & Transgender. Domicile: Punjab. Place of posting: All over Punjab.
2. Senior Transport Officer (BS-16)
- Qualification: BSc (Second Division) in Urban Planning Transport or Transport Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, with three years’ experience in Transport Planning or Transport Engineering from a public or private sector organization (only practical experience acquired after the prescribed qualification is considered).
- Age: Male 24–45 years; Female 24–48 years (including relaxation).
- Gender: Male, Female & Transgender. Domicile: Punjab. Place of posting: All Punjab.
3. Deputy Director (BS-18)
- Qualification: M.Sc (Second Division) in Urban Planning, Transport Planning or Transport Engineering from an HEC-recognized university with three years’ experience, OR B.Sc (Second Division) in Transport Engineering with five years’ experience in Transport Planning or Transport Engineering (only practical experience after the prescribed qualification is considered).
- Age: Male 25–35 years; Female 25–38 years (including relaxation).
- Gender: Male, Female & Transgender. Domicile: Punjab. Place of posting: Lahore.
4. Transport Sub Inspector (BS-14)
- Qualification: BA (2nd Division) from a recognized university.
- Age: Male 21–35 years; Female 21–38 years (including relaxation).
- Gender: Male, Female & Transgender. Domicile: All Punjab basis. Place of posting: Anywhere in Punjab.
5. Motor Vehicles Examiner (BS-14)
- Qualification: Matric from a recognized board, with a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Auto and Diesel Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education.
- Age: Male 21–35 years; Female 21–38 years (including relaxation).

6. Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector (BS-16)
- Qualification: Law Graduate from a recognized university.
- Age: Male 18–30 years; Female 18–33 years (including relaxation).
- Gender: Male, Female & Transgender. Domicile: All Punjab basis. Place of posting: Anywhere in Punjab.
Written Test / Syllabus
- For each post, there will be one MCQ-type written test of 100 marks and 90 minutes’ duration (if held).
- For most posts, the syllabus is 100% qualification-related questions (Transport Planning / Transport Engineering / DAE Auto & Diesel Technology, as applicable).
- For Transport Sub Inspector: general ability including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for Non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science and Basic Computer Studies (100%).
