Pakistan Marine Academy Admissions 2026-27

The Pakistan Marine Academy has announced admissions for the 65th Batch of Nautical (Deck) and Marine Engineering Cadets for Academic Session 2027-28. Applications are invited from eligible Pakistani male candidates for admission to the two-year residential training program at Pakistan Marine Academy.

Selected candidates will receive training in the Nautical (Deck) or Marine Engineering branch. After successful completion of training, candidates will be awarded an Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering by NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, along with recognized maritime training certifications.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only unmarried male citizens of Pakistan are eligible to apply.
  • The candidate’s age must not be more than 20 years as on 31 December 2026.
  • Candidates from FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, and Balochistan may be up to 21 years of age as on 31 December 2026, with one year age relaxation.

Academic Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed FSc Pre-Engineering or A-Level with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Applicants must have obtained at least 55% marks.
  • A-Level candidates must submit an equivalency certificate. Separate equivalency certificates for O-Level and A-Level are required.
  • FSc/A-Level Part-II appearing candidates having at least 60% marks in Part-I may also apply on a Hope Certificate.
  • Hope Certificate candidates must provide the required certificate from their respective college or institute.
  • If a candidate fails to obtain 55% marks in FSc after submitting a Hope Certificate, the candidate will be disqualified at any stage of the selection process and discharged during training.
  • A-Level candidates who fail to submit the equivalency certificate within the prescribed time or by the due date will not be considered for further stages of the selection process.

Selection Procedure

The selection process for Pakistan Marine Academy admissions will consist of the following stages:

  1. NTS/Entrance Test.
  2. Medical Fitness Examination from a Military Hospital.
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
  4. Interview.

Candidates must qualify at each stage of the selection process. A candidate who fails any stage will be disqualified and will not be considered for the next stage of admission.

After successfully qualifying all four stages, candidates will be considered for provisional admission subject to the availability of seats. A minimum of 50% marks is required to qualify the entrance test.

How to Register

  1. Prospectus and application forms can be downloaded from the Pakistan Marine Academy website.
  2. Complete the application form carefully.
  3. Submit the application form through courier services.
  4. Attach a pay order or bank draft of Rs. 4,000 in favour of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi.
  5. The pay order or bank draft should be payable at any National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) branch code 0239 (POD/FD).

Applicants should ensure that the application form is complete and submitted before the closing date.

Education and Training

  • Two years of residential training will be conducted at Pakistan Marine Academy.
  • After successful completion of training, candidates will be awarded an Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering by NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi.
  • Candidates will also receive certificates of International Maritime Organization (IMO) recognized Pre-Sea Mandatory Courses.

Medical and Physical Requirements

After the interview, candidates declared qualified for provisional admission will be issued joining letters. After joining Pakistan Marine Academy, candidates will appear before MMD for eye vision and colour perception tests.

Admission will only be confirmed after qualifying the MMD Eye Vision and Colour Perception Tests. Candidates who fail the MMD medical requirements will be returned home and their provisional admission will stand cancelled.

Ineligibility Conditions

Candidates may be considered ineligible in the following cases:

  • Submission of tampered academic certificates, mark sheets, or other documents.
  • Concealment of information or submission of incomplete or false information.
  • Withdrawal from any academy or training institution, including Armed Forces institutions, on disciplinary grounds or due to weak academic performance.
  • Dismissal, removal, debarring, or resignation from Government service, including the Armed Forces.
  • Conviction by a court of law for an offence involving moral turpitude or any other offence.
  • Non-combination of subjects and diploma holders are not eligible to apply.
  • Being declared medically unfit by an Armed Forces Hospital or Appeal Medical Board.
  • Being declared colour blind.
