Eligibility Criteria for Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Jobs (August) 2026
1. Manager (Sales)
- Qualification: BE (Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Marine), PEC-registered.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in the industrial sector.
- Preference: Candidates with strong negotiation, leadership and technical communication abilities.
- Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
2. Assistant Manager (Mechanical)
- Qualification: BE / B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years for BE candidates and 10–15 years for B.Tech/DAE candidates in ship repair, shipyard operations, marine engineering or project execution.
- Preference: Candidates with an understanding of ship-repair processes, dry-docking operations, maintenance/operations of mechanical machinery and marine systems, fabrication activities, and knowledge of QHSE regulations.
- Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
3. Assistant Manager (Hull)
- Qualification: BE / B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical / Hull / Construction / Naval Architecture) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years for BE candidates and 10–15 years for B.Tech/DAE candidates in ship repair, shipyard operations, marine engineering or project execution.
- Preference: Candidates with an understanding of ship-repair processes, dry-docking operations, maintenance/operations of mechanical machinery and marine systems, fabrication activities, and knowledge of QHSE regulations.
- Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
4. Supervisor (Engineering Design)
- Qualification: B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on experience in the drafting of steel structures, barrage gates and pressure vessels, and in preparing nesting plans, GA drawings and fabrication drawings on AutoCAD.
- Preference: Candidates with excellent communication skills and hands-on experience in AutoCAD.
- Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
5. Supervisor (Hull)
- Qualification: B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical / Hull / Construction) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within a shipyard or marine environment.
- Preference: Candidates with proven experience in managing hot-work, welding and fabrication projects.
- Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
6. Senior Technical Assistant (QC-NDT)
- Qualification: DAE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Metallurgy).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of NDT techniques.
- Preference: Candidates holding NDT (RT, UT & DPT) certification.
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
7. Driver
- Qualification: Middle, preferably Matric.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles or fire tenders, with a valid driving licence.
- Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
