The Pakistan Army has announced a recruitment programme for the year 2026, inviting eligible citizens to join the Army as a Junior Commissioned Officer (Naib Khateeb) or as a Soldier (Sipahi) in various trades. Applications are open to candidates from Pakistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Online registration and recruitment run from 01 September to 23 November 2026, with soldiers registering online at joinpakarmy.gov.pk and reporting to Army Selection & Recruitment Centres. The available categories and their individual age, education and height requirements are set out below. General Conditions
- Applicants must be male citizens of Pakistan (or AJK / Gilgit-Baltistan).
- Candidates must be unmarried (this condition does not apply to Naib Khateeb).
- All Sipahi posts, including Sanitary Worker and Cook, are pensionable service positions.
- A quota is reserved for non-Muslim minorities.
Age Relaxation
- 1 year for graduates or holders of higher qualifications.
- 2 years for relatives of Shuhada / war injured.
- 3 years for candidates from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK and merged KP districts.
Height Relaxation
- Height concessions are available for candidates from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, merged KP districts and children of Shuhada (except for Sanitary Workers, Cooks and Clerks).
Required Documents
- Original educational certificates with two sets of attested photocopies
- Four passport-size photographs
- CNIC or Smart Form-B
- Domicile and permanent residence certificate (State Subject certificate for AJK candidates)
- Relevant documents for any age or height relaxation claimed
How to Apply
- Soldiers: register online at joinpakarmy.gov.pk between 01 September and 16 November 2026.
- JCO (Naib Khateeb): submit the application form in person at a designated Army Selection & Recruitment Centre (AS&RC).
- Complete in-person registration at an AS&RC (Gilgit, Peshawar, D.I. Khan, Muzaffarabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, Khuzdar, Turbat, Bannu, Sadiqabad, Hyderabad or Karachi) between 01 September and 23 November 2026.
Application Deadline
Online registration for soldiers closes on 16 November 2026, while registration at Army Selection & Recruitment Centres (for all posts) remains open until 23 November 2026.
